Zoe Price was chief executive at the UK construction contractor until it filed for bankruptcy last year
Mace Consult has tapped former ISG UK Construction exec Zoe Price to lead its Europe business as managing director in what the firm says is a “significant step” toward its planned carve out from its parent company.
“Zoe has valuable operational and delivery expertise and is set to apply this knowledge and experience to drive positive outcomes for clients across all markets and service lines in our Europe hub,” said Mace Consult CEO Davendra Dabasia in a Monday press release announcing Price’s appointment.
Price, who also had her first day at the company on Monday, is a 20-year construction industry veteran who previously held senior roles at UK contractors Willmott Dixon and Morgan Sindall.
“With a sharp focus on service excellence for our clients, Mace Consult has enjoyed double-digit growth in recent years, and I look forward to working with our talented teams across Europe to expand our footprint and deliver programmes that benefit communities across the hub,” Price added in a press release.
At ISG, Price served as group director for public sector frameworks and chief operating officer before she succeeded Chief Executive Matt Blowers at the helm of the company following his February 2024 departure in hopes that a “fundamental reset” of the company’s financial health would follow. In September 2024, the company filed for “administration” protection—a type of bankruptcy in the UK—after six of its subsidiaries did the same, reportedly leaving thousands of employees unemployed.
In an all-staff memo announcing the decision, Construction News reported that Price wrote that the company had been impacted by “legacy issues” and “large loss-making contracts.”
Price’s new Mace Consult gig comes amid a flurry of other company activity as it prepares for its independence from Mace Group thanks to a majority investment by private equity firm Goldman Sachs Alternatives, announced in July.
Additional announced hires include Louise Sunderland as head of cities and places, Martyn Court as head of mobility, Rachael Saville as European lead for program and project management, and Andy Beard moving into the role of managing director for infrastructure.
According to Mace Consult, its carve out from Mace Group is expected to be completed by end of year.
